Introduction
Welcome to Vinka Design. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website www.vinkadesign.co.nz, and the purchase of any products through our online store or in person at our Auckland Atelier. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Definitions
– “Vinka Design”, “we”, or “us” refers to Vinka Design Limited.
– “Website” refers to www.vinkadesign.co.nz.
– “Custom products” refers to products purchased via our website that have been made-to-order for the client, and/or customised with specific sizing, and/or feature minor design alterations.
– “Non-custom products” refers to products purchased via our website that are not defined as custom products under this refund policy.
– “Bespoke Gowns” refers to wedding gowns that are individually designed, crafted, and purchased in-house at our Auckland Atelier and not via our website, ensuring complete customisation to the client’s exact measurements and specifications. These gowns involve a fully personalised process, including but not limited to:
- Personalised design elements such as fabric selection, embellishments, and structural modifications.
- Pattern making and tailoring based on the client’s unique body measurements to ensure a precise fit.
- Multiple fittings and adjustments throughout the production process to achieve the final design.
– “Genuine Manufacturing Fault ” refers to any defect in the gown that arises from the production process and affects the overall quality or functionality of the gown. This includes, but is not limited to, issues such as:
- Incorrect stitching or seams that are not properly aligned.
- Fabric flaws such as holes, tears, or significant discolouration.
- Incorrect sizing that does not match the measurements provided at the time of order.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website, you accept these terms and conditions in full. Do not continue to use Vinka Design’s website if you do not accept all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.

Ordering Process
By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have parental consent to make the purchase.
All orders are subject to availability and acceptance by us.
We reserve the right to refuse any order at our discretion. If an order is declined after payment, a full refund will be provided.
Pricing & Payment
All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST (if applicable).
Prices are subject to change without prior notice but will not affect confirmed orders.
We accept payments via credit card, debit card, and Apple Pay. Payment must be received in full before dispatch.
Product Information & Sizing
We make every effort to ensure product descriptions, images, and colours are as accurate as possible. However, slight variations may occur due to screen settings and fabric availability.
It is your responsibility to check sizing guides before ordering. Vinka Design accepts no responsibility for incorrect sizing for made-to-order gowns. If unsure, please contact us for assistance.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our website or purchase of our goods or services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where applicable.
Made-to-Order Gowns
Our made-to-order gowns are crafted specifically for you in the closest standard size based on our size chart. As these gowns are produced on demand, we do not offer returns or exchanges unless there is a Genuine Manufacturing Fault. We strongly recommend reviewing your measurements carefully against our size chart before placing your online order.
If you wish to change your gown before production begins, you may do so, subject to prior approval by us, and any price differences must be accepted by you before production begins. Each gown undergoes professional quality control to ensure the highest standard of craftsmanship. Upon receiving your gown, we encourage you to try it on immediately. Should you have any concerns, please contact us within 5 days of delivery.
Please note that while your gown is made to the closest standard size, alterations may be required for a perfect fit, and any associated costs will be your responsibility. If your measurements change after confirming your online order, you will be liable for any necessary alterations.
Made-to-Measure Gowns
Made-to-measure gowns are individually hand-crafted to your specific measurements and design preferences, making them unique to you. Due to the custom nature of these gowns, we do not accept returns or exchanges unless a Genuine Manufacturing Fault is identified. We advise verifying your measurements carefully against our size chart before confirming your online order, as we are not responsible for any adjustments or alterations needed unless there is a confirmed fault.
If you wish to modify your online order before production begins, the modification will be subject to our approval. To request a change, please contact our customer service team at info@vinkabrides.com or call +64 9 300 3047. Your request will be reviewed by our design team, and you will be notified of the approval status within 7 business days. If approved, any price differences must be covered before production can proceed. Each made-to-measure gown undergoes thorough quality checks to ensure premium craftsmanship. Upon receiving your gown, please try it on immediately. If you have any concerns, contact us within 5 days of delivery with updated measurements and supporting images before any further action can be taken.
Sample Sale Gowns
Our sample sale gowns are exclusive pieces from past collections, crafted with the same high-quality materials and attention to detail as our made-to-order, made-to-measure, and bespoke designs. While these gowns have been part of our showroom collection and may show very minor signs of wear, each gown will be carefully inspected for quality control prior to shipping. They are offered at a special price and are sold as is, where is, making them a rare opportunity to own a couture gown at a reduced cost.
Sample sale gowns may require alterations to achieve the perfect fit, and any necessary adjustments are the sole responsibility of the client. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge the nature of our sample sale gowns, and that sample sale gowns are final sale and are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or refunds.

Bespoke Gowns
Bespoke gowns created through our in-person service are individually handcrafted over a series of fittings, ensuring a fully custom design tailored to your exact measurements and preferences. Due to the highly personalised nature of these gowns, all sales are final, and returns or exchanges are not accepted under any circumstances, including change of mind.
Throughout the design and fitting process, we work closely with you to perfect every detail, and any necessary refinements are addressed along the way. In the rare event of a Genuine Manufacturing Fault, we will assess the issue and determine an appropriate resolution. This does not include minor variations in design or fit, as these are refined through the fitting process.
By proceeding with a bespoke gown, you acknowledge and agree to these terms. If you have any concerns during the process, we encourage open communication at each stage to ensure your gown meets your expectations.
Our Promise to You (Bespoke Gowns):
- We will make you a handcrafted, bespoke wedding gown using the materials that we have both agreed.
- We will suggest and agree on a design with you and provide a sketch to keep.
- If you notify us of any concerns during the design and manufacturing phases, we will listen and do our best to resolve any issues promptly.
- We will quote you a price in writing. If you subsequently ask us to make changes that will cause the cost to increase, we will give you a revised price in writing before we do the additional work.
- We will agree on a delivery date with you and ensure your gown is ready for collection from our studio on or before the agreed delivery date, provided all agreed payments have been made.
Your Undertaking to Us (Bespoke Gowns):
- To confirm your order, you will promptly pay a deposit equal to 30% of the GST inclusive price quoted and agreed with you.
- You will make timely payment of the amounts agreed in writing.
- You will attend fittings and review progress at agreed times, promptly informing us of any concerns or required adjustments.
- If you instruct us in writing to stop working on your gown before it is finished, you will fully reimburse us within 7 days for the work done and costs incurred, net of the deposit and any other amounts already paid.
- You acknowledge that your gown is handmade from delicate couture materials and must be cared for accordingly. Vinka Design is not responsible for any damage to the gown after collection from our studio.
Accessories
Accessories, along with other non-custom products offered online and purchased through our website, may be eligible for a refund if returned in “as new” condition or if there is a manufacturing defect. For hygiene reasons, all earrings are not eligible for return unless there is Genuine Manufacturing Fault.
To be considered for a refund, any problems or faults must be reported to us within 5 days of delivery, and the item must be returned to us within 10 business days from the delivery date for domestic orders, and 15 business days from the delivery date for international orders. Items received by us outside of this specified timeframe will not be accepted. Return postage costs will be at the buyer’s expense.

Refund Process
To initiate a refund request, please contact us at info@vinkabrides.com with your order details, reason for refund, and supporting imagery.
Once we receive your request, we will process your claim and notify you of the outcome within 5 business days.
Refund Approval
If your refund is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment once your items have been received.
You will receive the credit within 3-10 business days, depending on your card issuer’s policies.

Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
Changes to Terms
Vinka Design Limited reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website.
